MCA shot dead at petrol station
- A member of county assembly and an MP aspirant were shot dead Friday, February 17

A Member of County Assembly in Baringo county and a parliamentary aspirant were shot dead on the night of Friday, February 17, outside a petrol station in Marigat town.
Loiyamorok MCA Cheretei Kibet and MP aspirant for Tiaty constituency Pepee Kitambaa were ambushed and shot dead by unknown assailants who later on torched their vehicle to ashes.
The two are said to have been fuelling at a petrol station in the town when the assailants attacked them.
No one has been arrested following the incident.
Police have launched investigations into the killing of the two politicians.
