President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, in a rare spectacle, appeared to agree in the issue of devolution during the late governor Nderitu Gachagua’s funeral on Monday, March 6
The two, are set to meet yet again this time in Naivasha President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to open the fourth annual devolution conference on Tuesday, March 7 in Naivasha, Nakuru county.
The conference, which is set to run for three days straight will be held at the Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute.
One of the dignitaries expected to grace the event is NASA co-principal Raila Odinga, who will address leaders in between the coming days.
Among other leaders expected in the three-day event are governors, senators, MCAs and MPS.
Deputy President William Ruto is expected to officially close the event on Thursday, March 9.
The conference comes a day after both the President and opposition leader Raila Odinga shared an encouraging opinion at Nderitu Gachagua’s funeral.
Both Uhuru and Raila, during their respective speeches, strongly condemned the tendency by MCAs to indulge in devious dealings at the expense of governors larger plan for development.
