- Their removal came after sustained street protests from CORD leaders and their supporters

- Now Hassan has found something to do and it is related to what he was doing at IEBC

Issack Hassan was kicked out as the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) alongside other commissioners over questionable integrity.

Their removal from office was necessitated by sustained street protests led by opposition leader Raila Odinga and other leaders.

The opposition was angry that the IEBC officials' integrity had been put to test following the eruption of the chickengate scandal where they allegedly received bribes from the Smith and Oozman company to award it tenders to supply materials used in the 2013 election.
