Details on the meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his mentor retired president Daniel arap Moi have emerged.

Uhuru met the former Kenyan leader at his residence in Kabarnet Gardens, Nairobi on Wednesday, February 15.

The closed door meeting was attended by Gideon Moi and West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo.

According to the Daily Nation, the meeting between Uhuru and Moi has angered Deputy President William Ruto and his camp.

Reports say Ruto feels threatened by any deal made by the president and his rival Gideon, who is also eying the presidency in 2022.

Ruto's close friends and supporters were angered that Uhuru kept the meeting with Moi a secret only for them to find out in the media.
