Thousands of commuters were left stranded after the three ferries responsible for connecting South Coast with North Coast ground to a halt resulting in a major transport crisis.
The situation nearly turned fatal on Tuesday, may 9, after overcrowding led to a stampede as people fought to use the only working ferry. At least 11 people were injured including school children - who were among the commuters.
