ODM to carry out repeat nominations in more than 30 locations.

The Orange party will do repeat primaries in areas where the exercise was disrupted



- This will take place in six constituencies and another more than 30 polling stations -


 The ODM primaries have been marked with chaos and confusion forcing cancellation in some areas -


 Some aspirants have appealed for the repeat claiming there were irregularities Following disrupted nominations which forced ODM to cancel the exercise in some areas, the party has planned a repeat of the primaries..


The primaries were marred with chaos and fist fights after aspirants and their supporters clashed with their opponents forcing the party to call them off.



The party has now organised a repeat of the polls in six constituencies, eight wards and at least 20 polling stations. This also comes after some aspirants petitioned the ODM National Appeals Tribunal for the repeat.


"Following decisions made by the National Appeals Tribunal of the ODM party with regard to various appeals filed by aspirants in some of the areas the party has held its primaries, the National Elections Board has ordered a repeat nominations exercise in the following areas on Wednesday 26th April 2017," said the ODM elections board chairperson Judith Pareno.
They inlcude:

 1. Nakuru Town West Constituency


 2. Shinyalu Constituency

3. South Mugirango


 4. Ibeno Ward in Nyaribari Chache Constituency 5. Birongo Ward in Nyaribari Chache

 St. Monica Polling Station (Kitengela Ward, Kajiado East Constituency) In Mombasa, a repeat will take place in 17 polling stations in six ward while the same will take place in at least 12 stations in Kwale.
